Maybe it has something to do with being a Jew by choice, but I’ve never believed that cooking kosher means accepting limits. Granted, I’m not going to make a giant shrimp bowl like they do back home in North Carolina. Beyond that, I believe in inventiveness, variety, beauty, fresh ingredients and that all-important but sometimes elusive ingredient: flavor!

As the sample menus show, this ain’t your Mama’s kosher cooking. (Just do us both a favor and never repeat that while she’s in the room, please?)
